Venmo Gambling Sites – Legal Venmo Betting in the US

Betting apps with Venmo have been elusive for years. But, finally, Venmo is starting to become available to bettors in states with legal online gambling. Right now, DraftKings and FanDuel are the only two legal US gambling apps that accept Venmo.

However, Caesars and BetMGM are also expected to add Venmo soon, and BetMGM is the only online sports betting app that currently offers Apple Pay. These new payment options are a welcomed addition in a world where they are becoming more popular by the second.

4 Advantages Of Betting With Venmo

1. Convenience

The number one advantage to betting with Venmo is the convenience of using a payment app you already have. Personally, that’s why I was excited to see Venmo on the FanDuel app. As someone who usually has some amount of money in my Venmo account, it makes it easy to throw $10 or $20 into my FanDuel bankroll or to withdraw money from my FanDuel account to pay someone. It just doesn’t get more convenient than that.

You also don’t have to have money in your Venmo account to use it as a deposit method. If you have a lower balance than the amount you want to deposit, the money will simply come from the online bank account you have connected to your Venmo account.

2. Completely Free

Venmo doesn’t have any fees for personal use. That means you can deposit into your betting app, withdraw your winnings, and transfer the money to and from your bank account, all for free.

However, Venmo does charge a small fee for instant transactions. If you’re not willing to wait a couple of days for your Venmo balance to transfer to your bank account, you can choose to pay 1.5% of the money (maximum $15 charge) to have the money instantly available.

3. Safe & Secure

Venmo is a trusted, extremely popular, and reliable e-wallet app. It’s owned by PayPal and licensed in the US as a mobile payment service. The company employs the highest levels of encryption and online protections, including the option to enable two-step authentication.

4. Available For Deposit & Cashout

Many of the more convenient deposit methods at online gambling apps are deposit only, including debit and credit cards and PayNearMe. Venmo, on the other hand, is available for both deposit and withdrawal, and it’s an even more convenient option than a debit card for people (like me) who already utilize the app.

Also, you usually have to use PayPal to deposit before you can use it to cash out winnings. Venmo is a withdrawal option even if you deposit using something else. So, at least in that sense, it’s even more convenient than PayPal.

How To Sign Up For Venmo

Signing up for Venmo is a relatively quick and easy process and can make it easier for you to get started with Venmo Sports Betting. All you’ve got to do is follow the simple steps below to take advantage of all the benefits of Venmo we listed above.

  1. Venmo is only available on mobile. So, to begin, you need to download it from either the iOS App Store or the Android Play Store. Once you’ve downloaded the app, open it up to get started.
  2. Choose a sign-up method and create your password.
  3. Verify your phone number and email address for added security.
  4. Lastly, add and verify the bank account you’d like Venmo to be paired with.

It’s that simple. Once you’re signed up for Venmo, you can use it for deposits and cashouts on DraftKings, FanDuel, and any gambling sites that add it as an option in the future. Keep in mind that in many cases, you must have first deposited with Venmo in order to be able to withdraw back to Venmo for your own security.
