Pennsylvania online gamblers players now have a new option in Bally Casino Pennsylvaniawhich had its public soft-launch on June 8. Earlier in the week, it began accepting some players on an invitational basis for its test period. It’s the first online casino in Pennsylvania to go live as a “qualified gaming entity” (QGE), meaning its iGaming site is not attached to any of the state’s retail casinos.

By the same token, Bally’s cannot offer online sports betting at this time. QGE certificates are for online casino games only. However, Bally Bet Sportsbook does have an eventual path into the market. If the company’s retail casino in State College ever clears the legal hurdles necessary to open, it will be eligible for a sports betting license.

Pennsylvania is just the second state for Bally Casino, a relatively new arrival on the US online gambling scene. It debuted in New Jersey in February 2022 but lacks market access to Michigan or Connecticut. That leaves only West Virginia as a possibility for further expansion, and that market may be too small to be interesting.

Sports betting was Bally’s initial focus when it moved into online gambling. However, it announced a strategic pivot this year and said it would give its online casino product its full attention going forward.

What’s Available at Bally Casino Pennsylvania?

The days of online casinos launching with limited offerings are long gone. Even with its full launch at least a week away, Bally Casino PA has the full range of products you’d expect from any online casino:

  • Over 200 slots
  • Multiple versions of blackjack, roulette, baccarat, video poker, etc.
  • Live dealer table games courtesy of Evolution
  • Up to $100 cash back for new users on losses during their first week

The cash-back promotion caps out at the amount of the user’s first deposit or $100, whichever is less. Users will get reimbursed for their first week’s net losses up to that limit. If the net loss is 90% or more of the deposit, this is rounded up to the full deposit amount.

The reimbursement is in the form of real cash, not casino credit or “bonus money.” In other words, it can be withdrawn immediately with no playthrough requirement.

Slots on offer at Bally Casino currently include most fan-favorites from the big studios, such as:

  • IGT (Cleopatra, The 100,000 Pyramid)
  • Light & Wonder (Dancing Drums, 88 Fortunes)
  • NetEnt (Gonzo’s Quest, Starburst)
  • Everi (Atomic Meltdown, Double Diamond)
